Neonatal Resuscition 6th Edition through Amazon

Whenever a new edition comes out, I like to purchase my own for constant review and referral during
the years it is current. The DVD that comes with this book has helpful reenactments to help visualize the flow chart in most situations. As true in previous editions, the book is layed out in such a way to promote easy understanding and reinforcement.

This edition definitely is worth buying due to the new changes. It's just not the same old same.

Further, the time it took to get the book and the condition were both excellent.

Neonatal Resuscitation Textbook

I purchased this textbook, because I needed it for the class in neonatal resuscitation. Unfortunately, it is very hospital orientated, and I am a home birth midwife. I need this class to keep up national certification. It does a very good job of preparing you to take the tests that need to be accomplished, before you are actually able to take the class. The instructor that I use is very good at applying the materials for out of hospital settings. So I am pleased with the combination. I also have an Apple Computer with new operating system, so the disc that comes with the book does not work in my computer. It would obviously be very good for this company to make a disc that does work in the Apple computer or tell us before we buy. But this complaint has been registered multiple times, without any fix. I have written to the company to ask for an Apple disc when it is available, but I am not holding my breath.

Best NRP textbook yet. Has been improved in presentation, perhaps easier to understand than earlier versions. There have been a few changes in the medications, and a better discussion on the use of CPAP and PEEP pressures. Great for review or as a new skill set. If you are new to NRP get the book with the CD-ROM.

This series is deliciousness itself

So this is the 4th installment in the Executive Sweet Series and we continue to follow Chelsea’s whirlwind time with the billionaires.

So after a night out with her friend Natalie and their hook-ups Brian and Josh. Chelsea went on a surprise trip to Maldives with one of the Billionaires Everett. So after a hot flight to the Maldives, Everett and Chelsea had a great time until work interferes, what is a girl to do…

Another great installment, I am dying for #5. This series is deliciousness itself so I give the book a 9 out of 10, I just wish they were longer…but then I then I am greedy.

A woman's dream.

This continues to be a woman's dream, all the sex she wants and money to burn on herself! A few small grammatical problems tho. The very first para. is confusing but it gets much better after that; " ..as they reclined IN next to each other "; four wrong uses of "lied"; "as water poured over THE her...".
Over all it is a good story which I recommend.

Mets then lays out the salient elements of each thinker's aerial theories, again paying particular attention to the views of each on the relationship of air warfare to warfare in general, its potential for independent decisiveness, target priorities, the air arm's suitability for organizational independence, command arrangements, and air superiority. With those bodies of theory laid out for easy summation and comparison, Dave then does the same thing for John Warden. His subsequent comparison of the four individuals—three whose context was the dawn of military aviation and one whose context included precision munitions and space surveillance—is revealing. Although Warden's professional education and direct operational experience far outshine those of his predecessors, his core theories reflect as much continuity with their ideas as they reflect differences and accommodations to contemporary technology. These relationships are obscured sometimes by terminology differences, however, and it is one of Professor Mets' more important contributions that he cuts through them to show where Warden draws more from his predecessors than is obvious at first.

About the Author
Keith Sidwell is Adjunct Professor in the Department of Greek and Roman Studies, University of Calgary. He has written on Greek drama, later Greek literature - including most recently Lucian: Chattering Courtesans and Other Sardonic Sketches (2004) - and on Neo-Latin writing and is a co-author of the Reading Greek and Reading Latin series, and author of Reading Medieval Latin (1995).

Fine rather rare book.

There are not many books which introduce Medival Latin, an area somewhat neglected. A goodintroduction.

Good post-Wheelock book

I might as well start by saying that this book is by no means an introduction to Latin. Sidwell himself starts out by saying that, by and large, Medieval Latin is just Latin. It's best to start with a solid background in classical Latin (Wheelock's) and then move to this book when you want to start reading Medieval authors.
As another review noted, Sidwell gives good backgrounds on the changes that occurred in medieval Latin - again, medieval Latin is not some other language, it's simply Latin with some changes in orthography, grammar, and usage. In fact, without a solid background in classical Latin, this book would be almost worthless (except for its dictionary in the back - and even there, most words are defined in terms of their classical Latin equivalents).
Best of all is the appendix with the changes between classical and medieval Latin categorized. I refer to this appendix often when I come to an odd construct in the Vulgate, and it very often answers my questions.
I unfortunately have limited experience with the texts in the book themselves. What little I've looked through seem good, and the introductions are useful; but I've heard several negative comments about some of Sidwell's text choices (one person whom I respect said his choice of texts was "ghoulish".)
But, from my own personal experience, it's a good book as long as you don't try to use it for more than it's designed to do.

Expensive, but good

This is an excellent resource for students of medieval Latin. A particularly useful aspect of this reader is that Sidwell provides texts with thematic coherence in mind; thus in each section arranged according to period, texts are arranged according to particular topics (e.g. the Norman conquest; scholastic philosophy; courtly literature). His introductory notes are good, and provide not just an introduction to the period, but to the individual topics he's selected; and his texts are chosen to provide a coherent representative introduction to the primary sources for each topic. Thus, for example, those wishing to deal with the eleventh and twelfth century will find a selection from the most important texts on the crusades, the investiture conflict, the Norman conquest, and new developments in theology and philosophy (among other topics), along with concise but useful overviews of the issues involved; in each case, the texts and excerpts are put together to make some sort of sense in terms of content and relation to the larger issues, not just as examples of Latin. Sidwell also provides a brief glossary of specifically medieval vocabulary at the end of the book, along with with useful linguistic and historical notes, and extensive vocabulary and grammar aids for each of the texts.

About the Author
H. Emilie Cady (1848–1941) was an American homeopathic physician and author of New Thought spiritual writings. Her 1896 book Lessons in Truth, A Course of Twelve Lessons in Practical Christianity is now considered the core text on Unity Church teachings. Lessons in Truth: Understanding the Unity Faith and Movement

LESSONS IN TRUTH
I asked one of my closest friends (Rev. Rose M. Cooper, P.H.D.), a Minister in Unity to provide me some insight on what the movement was about and why so many people seemed to be turning towards it for leadership and spirituality. She provided me this book (Lessons In Truth), multiple visits to worship with her and many discussions where she expressed her beliefs and opinions. The book brought many of our past discussions and activities I had witnessed to a level that became more clear. One example of this is in Unity God is within you and therefore part of you. Your growth and direction come from within and not from a separate entity outside of our bodies and spirits. The single eye on God is another great example. This book was written by Dr. H. Emilie Cady and it is very clear that her mind was focused. Her belief allowed her to look beyond the traditional approach mankind uses. For example, in both medicine and spirituality, she could look beyond the traditional approaches. She knew that through the beliefs of Unity that the physical, mental and spirituality (any condition in life) could be addressed, healing would occur on all levels (divine healing). In my opinion, Dr. Cady had a tremendous amount of wisdom, knowledge and God directed activity in her life.
Lessons In Truth has a study guide at the end of each chapter. The lessons are an excellent review and doing them will ensure you do understand the meanings and gain a true feeling for what metaphysical Christianity is. You will find in this book that the author was invited by Myrtle and Charles Fillmore , the founders of Unity, to write for them in 1892. Dr. Harriet Emilie Cady accepted. Readers demand for her writings and ultimately a simple course of lessons on the principles of divine healing, led Charles Fillmore to have them reprinted in a series of booklets. In 1903 the Lessons In Truth was published in book format. As of 1999, the fifty-first printing, the book has been translated into eleven languages and over a million and half copies have been sold.
Today, I am Methodist and have been for 20 years. I transitioned from a Baptist when I was 32. Methodist and Baptist belief's being very close to each other and different than Unity caused me to challenge my beliefs and weigh the differences very close. I believe it is urgently important for mankind to search deep within and to challenge his beliefs and actions regularly. I further believe this review and challenge process will keep man and woman walking closer to the path that they believe and will assist them in verbalizing their beliefs if and when they desire to express themselves. Lessons In Truth presents this challenge and leaves you thinking and asking many questions. Reading this book, you will gain an understanding of the principles of the New Thought movement in general and Unity in particular. Excellent fast read book and optional study guide. I highly recommend it for anyone attempting to gain an understanding of the unity movement or anyone walking within the faith.

Dr. Cady was a physician as well as metaphysician and her book is studied by thousands of Truth students all over the world. It has been translated into many languages and braille. Twelve chapters include Faith, Affirmations, Thinking, Spiritual Understanding, Statement of Being, and more. A down-to-earth explanation of basic spiritual laws

Emilie Cady was a remarkable woman; a true pioneer both professionally (she was a homeopathic physician in the late 1800's)and spiritually. Her understanding of metaphysical law, based in Christian theology, is clearly and profoundly stated in language any one can understand. I personally experienced a "spiritual quickening" while reading Lesson 11 on spiritual gifts. Her understanding of desire, its source and manifestation, clarified this issue for me and resonates as Truth. This book will benefit any truth-seeker, no matter what your religious affiliation is; truth is truth in whatever language you understand. Her writing style reminds me of Peace Pilgrim and I would recommend Peace's "Twelve Steps to Inner Peace."I also would recommend "The Light Shall Set You Free" by Dr. Norma Milanovich and Dr. Shirley McCune, as well as "Jesus Christ Heals" by Charles Fillmore.
