Michael Asch is a professor emeritus in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Alberta and a professor (limited term) in the Department of Anthropology and adjunct professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Victoria.

Beyond the moral morass of genocide, dispossession, and broken "treaties"

A non-Indigenous person's ruminations on the mistreatment of First Nations, what the treaty process is and was meant to be, and why the treaties were violated by the settler/colonialists. More importantly, the author proffers a way out of the moral morass in which the the state of Canada exists.
